East Mesa hospitals we can name
Two hospital names come up from this side of Mesa. Both are real. Both are on Banner Health’s own site.
Banner Baywood Medical Center is at 6644 E. Baywood Ave., Mesa, AZ 85206. Full acute-care hospital, emergency department, open 24 hours on Banner’s page. Phone listed there: (480) 321-2000.
Banner Heart Hospital is at 6750 E. Baywood Ave., Mesa, AZ 85206, on the same campus street. Banner calls it a freestanding heart hospital. Same 24-hour listing. Phone listed there: (480) 854-5000.
We are not your doctor, and we are not your insurance. Which door you use depends on your records, your plan, and the specialist you already have. Put 2929 E. Main St. in one box and Baywood Avenue in the other. If that drive is acceptable on a Wednesday when you have an appointment, East Mesa will feel acceptable on that Wednesday.

Groceries on and near Main Street
You do not want a “shopping destination.” You want a cart.
Two grocery stores we have checked from 2929 E. Main St.:
Fry’s Food and Drug sits on East Main Street at 4440 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85205. Same corridor as the park. Grocery and a pharmacy in one stop.
Albertsons is at 441 N. Val Vista Dr., Mesa, AZ 85213, at Val Vista and University — same zip as the park. The store’s own page lists grocery, a pharmacy, pickup, and delivery. Grocery phone on that page: (480) 830-5132.
Those are not the only places to buy food in East Mesa. They are the ones we can stand behind today without guessing. If you already have a store you like, map it against 2929 E. Main St. and see whether it feels like a habit or a project.

Walgreens is on East Main Street at 6002 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85205, at Recker and Main. That is the official store page for that location.

Fry’s on Main Street also has a pharmacy. If you already fill at a Banner campus window, ask that pharmacy which one they want you to use. Hours change. Call before you drive over with a paper script from another state, then map that address from 2929 E. Main St.
On site we have two heated pools and a spa, pickleball, shuffleboard, a fitness center, a clubhouse, a library, and a dog park/run. That is enough life for a lot of winter days. The hospitals, groceries, and pharmacies above are for the days that are not those days.
